Welcome

Welcome to my new and improved photography blog! I am a Hudson Valley fine art and portraiture photographer. Keep an eye here for updates on my adventures.

Aaaand we're back!

So I was gone for quite some time and, honestly, I really missed blogging. Is that silly? Somehow I felt really disconnected from the world. Interesting what the internet will do to us.

While I had every intention of getting back into the swing of things bright and early on Monday morning, I could barely even pull myself out of bed! The residue of exhaustion clung to me all day and through until yesterday. It was so strange - I could feel the need for sleep from the top of my head thought to my fingertips. It tingled every now and then and I was a bit woozy.
I thought, at first, maybe I was dehydrated. So I drank water and tea until I felt like it would come out my ears. Then maybe I thought that, while in Maryland, I hadn't eaten well so I was probably in need of some fruits and veggies. Even still, sprouts and peaches and watermelon and everything else leafy that I could stand to eat didn't have the needed effect. And for some reason I couldn't bring myself to nap.
What in the world was I going to do??

It wasn't until my love came home last night, made himself a steak and offered me several juicy bites that I felt better. Amazing what a bit of iron deficiency can do to you huh?

So here's the plan: tomorrow we're back on track with some very important life/business lessons and a couple of snarky anecdotes - all fresh from my time down at the wedding. Hopefully what I have to say will be helpful and applicable to your respective jobs/businesses as well!

Also I want you to know that Indiepublic.com is having their 2nd Anniversary! Casie, the founder, is running a Donation Drive as part of the big celebration. Be a part of it or score some awesome swag by checking out more about the Donation Drive *here*
. I will be submitting a few prints today, so keep an eye on that in case there is an image you have been secretly swooning over. ;-)

Lastly, I am going to leave you with a little visual tour of my week. I only brought my Fuji FinePix down to Maryland (and I forgot to charge the battery before leaving!) so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, but I think the experience is pretty well encapsulated in these 30 or so photos. Enjoy!
