An Interview with....me?

Recently I got an email from Laurie LeBlanc-Rickaby of Made by Swirly Girl, one of the lovely Etsy Artists that I have gotten to know over the past year. The gist of her message? She wanted to interview me! Honestly, I don't feel very interview-able. But after a gentle reminder from Laurie, I consented.
Mostly I want to share the interview with you so that you can get to know Laurie and the wonderful work she does on her blog and the gorgeous work in her shop. She is one of the most consistently supportive people I have come across, and getting acquainted with her has been part of what makes this journey so wonderful!

So a quick note before you read: I completed these interview questions on a deadline while sitting in a busy cafe. There is no self editing - it is mostly just stream of consciousness writing. In re-reading it, I feel like I come across as a bit of an inarticulate nerd. Hehehe. Consider yourself warned! =)

Getting to Know Jen Kiaba of Jen Kiaba Photography

Jen Kiaba, of Jen Kiaba Photography, is a photographer from New York that I've become acquainted with online through a group that we both were involved with as well as through her blog and Facebook posts. Her fine art, of which I became aware before her commercial work, is alluring in its romanticism and drama. She frequently stands in as the subject in her photos and her photogenic beauty makes one wonder why she hasn't done more in front of the camera! What is clear, however, is that Jen has a style unlike any other I've seen and that whether it is in front of or behind a camera, she's chosen the right medium. Enjoy Made by SwirlyGirl's interview with Jen Kiaba!

Laurie, Thank you so much for doing the interview in the first place!
I am just a little bit hard of myself after having worked as a journalist. I have little forgiveness for my own poor grammar etc. ;-)
